Denim, the fabric that is always in style
Denim, versatile, tough, durable, easy to wear, seasonal, the list is endless. In the world of fashion denim has been a huge component. Let me take you back to the good ole 1800s, that’s when denim became popular, gold miners needed durable clothing and a whole lot of history later, boom! Denim jeans, denim dresses, everything denim was born.
How to Wear and Style a Denim Dress
We all love the idea of a denim dress, but half of the time we don’t necessarily know how to wear one. There’s a lot of different ways to wear denim and it can be appropriate for almost any occasion. Scroll below for some ideas on how to wear this wonderful fabric that it seems to never go out of style!
To dress up, you could add stiletto heels, long or short diamond/sparkly earrings (I recommend Jane Marie, available at It’s All About Moi.) A short necklace such as red, orange, turquoise (can never go wrong with turquoise,) whatever your color preference may be.
Just make sure if you add a blingy necklace to ditch those big/long earrings and stick to studs, and be careful not to over accessorize.
If you are a little more into western/boho fashion you could add a pair of boots, booties, peep toe fringe wedges, whichever you feel more comfortable in.
A few popular accessories are the Concho belt, buckle belt, squash blossom and turquoise jewelry like denim, turquoise is always in style.
Dress down or make it more casual? I chose the Wooden Beats Squash Blossom necklace, which by the way it is a piece of jewelry you want to get your hands on right now.
I did more of an everyday look and did no earrings. I also chose a lower heel, comfortable enough to go to work, get groceries, and stand on my feet all day while looking fabulous if necessary.
Another way to dress it down is by adding your favorite pair of Converse or Keds, for more a young, relaxed, Taylor Swift look or just add your favorite flat sandals.
A denim dress is a good piece to add to your closet because it is multi-seasonal, meaning you can wear it all year round!
